2H Athletes and Scholarship Recepients

Two Hammers was setup to assist athletes with financial needs to help them with expenses and team fees associated with being selected for the US Ski Team or racing on the World Cup Tour. All money raised goes into a fund which is then dispersed based on 2H criteria attained from our application process. All American FIS racers are qualified to apply. Although we would love to support everyone budget limits in our innaugural year will prevent us from assisting everyone. As we grow so will our list of athletes and scholarship receipeints.

Bryce Bennett

Hometown: Squaw Valley Height: 6'7 Weight 215 Team: US Alpine B

Bryce Bennett is currently listed as B team downhiller for the upcoming 2018 Season. He's following in the footsteps of Steven Nyman and had his best season last year taking a 9th place finish at Val Gardena, Italy and his second top 10 there in a row. He also had two top 10 combined results and was the highest ranked American in the Olympic downhill where he finished 16th. He finished last season ranked top 30 in the world for downhill and he is poised to improve on that this season. We feel strongly about Bryce's future potential. His year over year improvements have us convinced he will only get better.

Robby Kelley

Hometown: Starksboro, VT Height: 5'10 Weight 180 Team: Redneck Racing Indepenant

Robby is another racer who hails from the famous Cochrane family from Vermont. His Mother was a 76 Olympian and 7 year member of the USST. He started off his carreer by winning the US Alpine GS Championship in 2012. Injuries have interrupted his steady rise but Robby is tenacious and with the founding of his own team, Redneck Racing, his brother Tim, Tucker Marshall and Julia Ford have come up with a creative way to compete at the highest levels on a more economical budget with more freedome to focus on their individual strengths. Robby is focused on the tech discipline of Slalom and has shown he has the mental toughness to break into the top 30. At the age of 28 we feel he has the experience and mental approach to be successful.

AJ Ginnis

Hometown: Vouliagméni, Greece Height: 5'10 Weight 189 Team: US Alpine C 2017/18

AJ was born in Greece, where he started skiing at the age of 2 at his father’s ski school. He lived in Austria before moving with his family to Vermont when he was 15 to attend Green Mountain Valley School. He is the reigning US slalom national champion and has showed plenty of speed. He was named the 2015 Ski Racing Magazine Junior of the Year. The female recipient? Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin. AJ is young tech/Slalom racer with a promising future. The current status of the USST mens team, cutting the Slalom discipline for 2018/19, has his immediate plans for the season in flux. We are hopeful the organizers will rethink their decision for the upcoming season.
