Two Hammers was founded to efficiently support underfunded US Ski Team athletes with direct and targeted financial assistance.
Our aim is to provide individuals and small to midsize corporations an alternative charity, where up to 90% of funds raised go directly to the athletes we support through grants and scholarships. We donate our own resources and volunteer our own personal hours towards creating this charity because we believe in the future of this great sport, the athletes and the families that contribute so much energy towards ski racing in America. The passion ski racing generates fuels and builds successful and upstanding citizens. Success is not not only measured by the medals and rankings our racers attain but how their participation inspires the next generation to continue the growth of the sport. Nobody can reach the top step alone..... time to drop the hammers.
How The Fund is Managed
The Two Hammers through direct donations here, corporate matching and its own fundraising events will direct all money raised into the 2H Fund. Our aim is to direct 90% of all funds collected to our nominated athletes and scholarships through direct grants. The grants will help the athletes cover team fees and percentages of travel costs not covered by their teams. Amounts will be based on percentages available from the fund as well as the budgets the athletes have outlined in their applications. Two Hammers is committed to performing as efficiently as possible, covering its own expenses with volunteer hours and services whenever possible.
Corporate Matching
Two Hammers is a registered 501c3 organization and all donors will be sent required receipts for assisting with corporate matching programs where they work. 2H is currently available to all Microsoft employees through their Benevity Platform, making donating seamless and effective. Through Benevity employees can volunteer hours and services to us and in most cases have those volunteer efforts matched by Microsoft. We are working on the addition of other large corporations giving sites either through Benevity or other platforms, if you or anyone you know can assist us with the companies you work for, please reach out to us.
We love watching our racers get their name on the big screen at races like Kitzbuhel, Schladming, Cortina etc. If they cant stay in the game, then they have no chance at reaching the podium. The 2 Hammers is one hammer of funding from us and the other hammer is the athlete performing at their best. It's time to drop the hammers!
